Sustainability

beautiful jewellery shouldn't cost the earth...

Sustainability is the keystone of my business, I strongly believe that beautiful jewellery should not have to cost the Earth.  Some ways in which I lessen the environmental impact of making your jewellery are:

I only use Recycled Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold

All of my jewellery is made from certified 100% recycled Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold which is fully traceable and audited by Cookson Gold, the UK's top precious metals bullion supplier. Recycled Sterling Silver and Gold is exactly the same quality & fineness as standard Sterling Silver and Gold. It is simply a sustainable alternative that is recycled from the medical, electronics, giftware and jewellery industries.

Gem stones and Opal Inlay

I source ethically sourced and lab grown stones for my pieces and lab grown opal for my Inlay jewellery.  Lab Grown stones reduce the environmental impact and have the same beautiful qualities of mined stones.  I am also happy to work with customers own stones.

Low Carbon Footprint

As a one person small business, I make all of the jewellery myself using my hands.  I do not outsource any of my work, I produce every stage in my workshop - forming, stone setting and polishing are all carried out by myself, greatly reducing the carbon footprint of your finished piece.

Re-purposing your old jewellery

One of the services I offer is the re-purposing of your broken or unworn jewellery.  By using your old pieces to make something new, you are not only creating a wearable new piece of jewellery which contains the sentiment of the old, you are also helping the environment even further.

Business Cards
My business cards are eco-friendly and recyclable. FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.

Jewellery boxes

All of the jewellery boxes that I use are made from sustainably sourced recycled material and are 100% recyclable, even the foam inserts!

Postal Packaging
I post your jewellery in a paper padded envelope which is recyclable and biodegradable. I use Royal Mail to deliver your jewellery, both for UK and overseas deliveries.  They have the lowest reported carbon emissions per parcel of any major UK delivery company.
